“What you see is what I see”

看/见 Reflections is a mirrored window installation composed of four media: mirror, acrylic, film, and transparent layers—each representing a different layer of the “self”: reflection, reflectivity, blur, and penetration. When you sit in front of the installation, you see half of yourself while simultaneously glimpsing the person across from you through the transparent section. These two images naturally overlap in your field of vision, making it difficult to distinguish where “you” end and “the other” begins, creating a subtle illusion.

The work creates a situation of “seeing oneself seeing” — you are simultaneously looking, being looked at, and aware of your own act of seeing, generating a unique perceptual relationship between the viewer, the space, and the object.
